Several months ago I posted on several groups that I was looking for an attorney in Central North Carolina for a motorcycle accident I was involved in. The name of one attorney came up a few times among others. I reached out to several and most said that they had no interest in taking the case. To start, when I was a college student at UNC-Chapel Hill (class of 1997) Attorney Gary Poole came to my dormitory room to help me take the needed legal course of action for an auto accident, which took place in Durham, N.C., where I was one of about five cars, which, rear-ended each other due to a drunk driver. I was at the front of this line up. I will never forget the convenience of this (the dorm visit as a college student) as well as his thoroughness. Blessed to have been able to have worked with you…. (Backstory: In December 2023, I was rear-ended and soon after, I hired an attorney to handle my case. Being my first experience working with a attorney, I wasn’t sure what to expect, so I tried to be patient. However, it quickly became clear that things weren’t going as they should. Got in a nasty accident last month and realized that after "call the cops and insurance", I really had no idea what the process for this sort of thing was. I emailed Mr. Poole about my situation. While he didn't feel I needed a lawyer, he gladly provided advice about how to deal with the insurance companies- what I'm owed and how to pursue it. I'm not a demanding person.
